The Mission of the Recreation Department is to improve the morale and physical fitness levels of the Tule River Indian Reservation Community members of all ages, through participation in ongoing recreational and cultural activities offered by the Tule River Tribe’s Recreation Department. The Recreation Department’s activities shall include but not limited to recreation activities, sports activities, leagues, clinics, tournaments, social, cultural, and community events.
The Recreation Department is currently maintaining the Tule River Community Gymnasium, the Cultural Department, Ayashume Park and Bob Ojeda Baseball Field. The gym has a fitness room, men’s and women’s restrooms/locker rooms and a stage available to community members. Table and chairs are available for checkout through the Tribal Council.
The Recreation Department offers a safe place where the community can interact socially through active living. The department has increased the number of activity offerings and continues to grow with both adult and youth sports leagues.
